Symposia

Linking Basic Knowledge and Industrialization Technology (LKI)

This symposium is hosted by the Institute of Powder Technology (IPT) affiliated with Seoul National University of Science and Technology. The IPT was established for the development of powder-related academics and sharing of powder technologies. As one of the academic activities of the IPT, a symposium is held at ISIMP in terms of linking basic knowledge and applied technology. In particular, this symposium focuses on how basic technologies are applied to industrialization such as the application of powder products.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to)
  • Synthesis of nano/micron powders and composites
  • Advanced densification process
  • Structural and functional application of powder products
  • Powder technology for the fourth industrial revolution and a safe society
  • Application of powder technology in enterprises
Invited speakers (tentative) include
  • Prof. Hyo-Ryoung Lim, Pukyong National University: Nanopowder printing technology for Biosensors
  • Dr. Jin Gyeong Park, LG Innotek: Phosphor plate and lighting device
  • Dr. Man-Ho Park, Asflow: Filter & diffuser products for semiconductor manufacturing
